Greetings from your new Principal
I am so excited to be selected as the Principal of Jim G. Martin Elementary. I know that in the following weeks, we will be working together to get our campus ready for the beginning of school. How wonderful it is to be given the opportunity to select our school mascot, to work with parents to begin to establish our PTA, and to become more familiar with Mr. Martin, the school namesake.
Evelyn Cobarruvias named principal of Jim G. Martin Elementary School
Evelyn Cobarruvias, formerly the principal of Meadow Village Elementary School, has been named the first principal of Martin Elementary, Northside ISD’s 67th elementary school. Martin will open in August 2010.
District's 67th Elementary School named
The NISD School Board named Northside's newest elementary school for Jim G. Martin in honor of a man who dedicated his career to education. As an engineer, Martin spent 30 years working for public school districts, making sure students were educated in modern, durable, and energy-efficient schools and oversaw the renovations and construction of dozens of schools.
